Paleontology Prehistoric Life

The museum is home to wonderful dinosaur displays in the Hall of Paleontology. These animals lived in and around Utah millions of years ago and strike fear and awe in the hearts of visitors. See and touch real dinosaur coprolite (poop) as well as a mammoth tooth.

Archeology Human History

Some of the most unique archaeological finds in the U.S.
have been found in caves and rock ledges throughout Emery County. The Museum of the San Rafael is home to these precious artifacts that can be seen in world-class exhibits surrounded by beautiful animals and exceptional murals that depict the county’s distinctive landscape.

Natural History Plants & Animals

In the outer circle of the Museum of the San Rafael's Great Exhibit Hall, you can see animals in their natural habitat.  Each animal is an exquisite example of the art of taxidermy and most appear frozen in motion. A person who studies natural history is called a naturalist or natural historian.
